Kolb's Learning Method

Experiential learning

Our incubation Program developed based on Kolb’s learning method. Experiential learning could improve conceptual understanding since, students build their knowledge and skills through direct experience. This method emphasizes the role of active experience and student involvement. Concepts that students will learn during incubation process are Design Thinking, Lean Canvas, Business Model Canvas, Ten Types of Innovation, Market Size (TAM SAM SOM), Target Market (Persona), Digital Marketing Funneling, and Start-Up Financial and Valuation. Students have their freedom to decide their own interest in solving certain problems in certain industry.

In educational term, students are directed in Heutagogy, otherwise known as self-determined learning. Heutagogy is a student-centered instructional strategy that emphasizes the development of autonomy, capacity, and capability.Hence, each team might have differentiated instruction, tailoring instruction to meet each team needs and progress. Some group might do iteration and pivoting differently than the others during the process.

UC Ventures prepare early start-up stage to be presentable to accelerators, competition, and angel investors. This means, we will also push each start-up to gain traction and commercialization while doing refinement iteration.During the process, we will leverage their network access to our extended partners to gain as many feedback and possible investors to the start-up.
